Spring Break

Spring Break consisted of me playing an intense amount of poker. I played literally for 8 days straight and pretty much did nothing else. Also, I saw a lot of my cousin and his crew. Seeing them involves a lot of drinking Heinekens and listening to them rave about iphones and shit. And of course, nothing beats drunken karaoke. The best part was when I was on the mic and my friend’s dad walks in and yells at me: “hát nh? con d? kêu mà hát cho to!” Apparently, he thinks that I sound like a cricket yelling when I sing, whatever that means.
Other than drinking and poker, I think that the highlight of my spring break was volunteering for PM at the children’s play. Leaders in the community who do organize things like VAALA really amaze me (see Secret Super Heroes). I really pushed hard to get all of [...]
