Oh, the joys of playing against Internet players. How many times have we all made a great all-in decision, only to be called by half of the players at the table. The best part of it all? Analyzing the decisions they all just made.

August 2010 Poker Results

Disclaimer: Since I live in a state where gambling online is illegal everything I’m about to post is clearly a figment of my imagination. I’m a law-abiding citizen.
I started viciously tracking my results this past month in an effort to improve my game and be honest about my results. When it comes to gambling, unless you happen to make a huge score in a tournament, it’s a daily grind that features a lot of ups and downs along the way. In the past, I liked to start tracking my results after a good day and then suddenly lose interest when things turned sour. This past month, I confirmed a lot of what I have long suspected have been leaks in my game. Here are my results:
Starting Bankroll: $163.41
Ending Bankroll: $109.75
Net Profit: -$53.66
Deposits: $0
Cash Outs: $0
Transfers: $0
RakeBack: +$243.49
Tournaments: +$254.98
Cash Games: -$552.13
Notes:
-My bankroll peaked at $716 on [...]

Phil Hellmuth Can Never Find Anything in There

Here’s a quick excerpt

After reminding everyone at the table that he’s the best player ever for a couple hours, Phil Hellmuth was able to get all his money in the middle on Poker After Dark last night with AK vs. K9o.  Obviously, he was none too pleased when the flop contained both a K and a 9, so he did what any reasonable man would do: pack up his purse and leave the table (without even bothering to see 4th and 5th streets).
What planet does this guy live on? I used to think he was hilarious but this is actually his personality. When Mike Matusow is telling you you complain too much, you should know you’ve got a problem.  Phil even went so far as to call out another guy for “sayin’ something every 10 seconds.” Apparently he was annoyed that everyone at the table points out all of his missteps.  Dude, that’s [...]

i went to the pub quiz at the brandling arms last night. this is usually a next to impossible quiz for us, there are around 20 teams and most of the questions are about programs in the 1920s and suchlike. i think our best finish is 2nd previously, but last night we got off to a flyer with a 10/10 on the food round (largely thanks to chef guy). including my bink of knowing which drink gets passed around the table to the left (port, not the dutchy), and guy’s of knowing turkish aniseed spirits (raki). alas it all fell apart after that slumping to a mid table finish. although tommo will be happy to know i got the question on a beautiful south song correct. all was not lost however as bourgeois snacks were on offer for best topical team name. obviously most people went for something about hague [...]

This Blog is the last Blog to end the 12 day stay with Kasey at Aria.
I guess i could continue to recap a play by-play of what happened everyday with  Kasey as I stayed at Aria and began the beginning of our confusing companionship but honestly it just doesn’t help or explain the relationship that was building between the end of each long, but interesting and new day we had. I honestly knew he had made a friend out of me but didn’t really understand where any of this was going or at least doing to me, because honestly my divorce was still settling deep inside. I was having fun, Kasey’s way, which was exciting to have no control over…. until I really had no control
