Yes indeed. I haven’t been blogging much because work, work, and boylets poker have made my life hectic and busy.
First off, WordCamp is FAST APPROACHING! GRAWRRR! As logistics girl, I am in charge of the venue, physical arrangement, materials and supplies, kits, badges, food, booths, and many other things that I do not want to think off right now.
Then, there’s one wedding this September, one on October, three on December, and two on January. Wish me luck! (Plus, my batchmates are pressuring me to organize the batch reunion yet again.)
I was also kinda helping out my cousin with his event. And this weekend is Kadayawan weekend, and several digital photographers and blogger from other parts of the country are coming over.

Da seid vorgestern mein Internet wieder funktioniert, habe ich mich entschieden mal wieder auf Fulltilt eine “kleine Session” zum Besten zu geben. Auf Holdem NL hatte ich keine Lust und so entschied ich mich Cash Game PLO zu spielen. Ich setze mich also mit 40$ an den Tisch und konzentriere mich. Es geht so rauf und runter bis sich folgende Hand ereignet… ich K,J,10,8… der Flop.. J,K,A… schöner Flop… also setze ich halben Pot. Der Gegner raist auf Potsize und ich stecke meine restlichen 15$ rein. Tja, der Herr zu meiner Linken hatte topset Aces. Leider bekam ich keine Hilfe mehr… da waren die 40$ futsch. Habe mich entschieden den Tisch zu verlassen.

A pretty swingy session, but I ended up making a tad over a buyin after 1k hands. I did some calculations and concluded that optimal WTSD% on NL tables is 5.9%, and I also decided to only flop sets 5% of the time.

Flop is obviously standard, though in the future I may want to throw in occasional checks vs regs for deception. His call range is wide, almost all his hands (with varying frequencies) as floats/traps.
At the time I thought turn was standard, but maybe it’s a good time to c/r and pick off a float? I didn’t even think to look at his flop call c-bet, but obviously I would if I’d considered the c/r play. I don’t know if the 130bb effective starting stacks change the play. I have been running so bad at cards online this year, last year in limited play I made about 50K, this year in more play than all of last year, I am stuck about 10K. So frustrating, I seriously get scared at this point when I flop or turn current nuts, it seems they all suck out. Including one of my worse beats ever this week were I flopped the nut straight and the guy turned a two outer to hit a one outer to make a boat on me and drag a 5K pot away from me.  Gutted.
EPL underway United has a draw getting one measly point on the table vs. the Newkies.

Uggel uggel.. Här ugglar vi. Ugglan är fortfarande vaken förstår ni. Jenny sover.. tråkiga henne, hon borde ha samma dygnsrytm som mig.. men istället ligger hon där raklång och sussar.. nu när jag tänker efter så ser hon ut som en stekt fiskpinne när hon ligger där, en söt sådan då förstås.

A common trap that many poker players will fall into comes when they have suffered a major dent to their bankroll, perhaps in one session where losses and bad beats have piled up on top of one another. No poker player likes to come away from a session having lost money or to quit having just suffered a big loss and so they will often try to remedy the situation.
The instinct when this happens is usually to try and quickly win back those losses. This often involves moving up to higher stakes, in the belief that they’ll be able to recoup their losses in one or two key hands, or else they loosen up and start playing starting hands that are below their usual standard.
